Transfer News: Rooney, Bale, Kompany, Higuain, Tevez



  • Sir Alex Ferguson has pledged he will offer a new contract to Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney, however Rooney may be forced be forced to take a pay cut to his £230,000 per week salary.

  • Despite the news, Bayern Munich has reportedly expressed interest and may try to tempt the striker away from Old Trafford.

  • Barcelona is keen on Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany as a replacement for Carlos Puyol.  The Spanish side are willing to offer £20 million.

  • Liverpool are eyeing Valencia midfielder Sofiane Feghouli.  The Spanish club wants roughly £13 million for him.

  • Real Madrid are keen to bring Spurs midfielder Gareth Bale to the Bernabeu.  The club is preparing a £110 million package that may include Luka Modric to lure the star to Spain.

  • Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain is looking to move to the Premier League in the summer and reportedly has  Tottenham at the top of his list.

  • Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez may be on the move to Monaco in the summer.  The 2nd division club is looking to get back into the big time and will reportedly offer £15 million.

  • Arsenal may make a move for Malaga midfielder Jeremy Toulalan in the summer as Arsene Wenger is looking to boost his back line.

  • Arsenal is also interested in Saint Etienne striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, and recently sent a scout to monitor the player.

  • Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini is set to make a £8 million bid for Leeds defender Sam Byram.

  • Chelsea is reportedly keen on AC Milan striker M’Baye Niang.  The striker signed with the Italian side just last month.

  • Stoke have decided not to offer striker Michael Owen a new contract for next season.
